You will find a safe, supportive and confidential environment while you are being counselled through email based counselling. This section will cover what to expect, how it works, what it will cost, what about security and getting started

What to Expect

At times all you need is an empathic person to help and support you through some of the pain that you are going through. This can be particularly important if you are grieving or dealing with trauma. Being aware of how you process your experiences — what you feel, think, and believe is very important especially as this awareness can help you to understand yourself and your relationships better. I will explore with you what approach works best for you and your situation. I may give you suggestions for how we can approach an issue, or you might have one already in mind. However way it happens, we work the way that feels right to you.

How it works

The Getting Started page will guide you through a few simple steps required to begin our counselling relationship, and soon after, you will receive a special email address for contacting me. This email will be especially for communication between the two of us, and using it will help us each to be sure of the identity of the other person.

Once your account has been set up, we can exchange emails at whatever frequency you would like. Because of the nature of email, you are not restricted to any particular time of day or day of the week.

In the early stages of communication, we will decide whether I can be of real benefit to you and in-turn you will be able to decide if you would like to proceed on a professional basis.

I am geographically located in Perth, Western Australia.

  • We are 12 hours ahead of US Eastern Time Zone
  • We are 6 hours ahead of South Africa
  • We are 5 hours behind New Zealand

What will it cost?

I have two options you may choose from. Both options give you control over total costs, one offers greater flexibility and the other offers greatest savings.

Email Counselling Paid by Message Length with Greatest flexibility

  • This option is very similar to purchasing credit on your mobile phone but the credit is added to your “WordCredit” balance;
  • You purchase one or more blocks of 1000 words which are added to your
  • The number of words in your email is deducted from your existing “WordCredit” balance and because of the way the system works, you always have complete control over the total amount you choose to spend on counselling;
  • All the words in your email count toward the total, but in my replies, only those words I actually write (excluding quotations from your email I am replying to) count toward the total;
  • For instance, I might quote your 500-word email in its entirety, but if my reply is only 100 words long, then that email reply deducts only 100 words from your “WordCredit” balance;
  • And to make things simple each of my replies will indicate your prior “WordCredit” balance, any recent top-ups you have purchased, the amount subtracted for the current exchange, and the remaining balance;
  • You may top up at any time, with one block of 1000 words at Australian $45.00 or the equivalent in your local currency. For the latest conversion to all currencies, please check the Currency Converter.

Email Counselling, Paid By a Two-week Subscription with Unlimited Words

  • This option is based upon the duration of our counselling and provides the greatest saving;
  • Over this subscription period you receive unlimited email counselling and whether your emails are long or short, or however often you like, the cost is always the same;
  • You are billed automatically every two weeks for Australian $90 (for the latest conversion to currencies, please check the Currency Converter, and you can cancel at any time.

My Refund Policy

If there has been no communication between us for a period of three weeks and you have not indicated that you plan to be away (e.g. vacations, etc):

  • I will write to ask if you would like to continue counselling. If I receive no reply within a week I will assume that your wish is to terminate counselling and close your account. In this case, I will refund your most recent subscription in full.
  • If, after our first few sessions, either of us decide to terminate counselling, I will refund you in full for any remaining full weeks in the current subscription period.
  • At the odd occasion that a client signs up for a service and then vanishes without leaving any valid email address and a valid PayPal address where I can return the payment I will make every effort to refund any monies.
  • However, if PayPal notifies me that the relevant account does not exist, or the funds remain unclaimed, I will have no option but to forfeit all monies 28 days after my initial attempt to make the refund.

If, for whatever reason, you need to vanish, please at least let me know how I can send any refunds to you.

Currency Details

Native currency payments can be made in any of the currencies currently supported by PayPal. Remember, although I am geographically located in Australia (and give prices in Australian Dollars); I work with clients from all over the world!
